WHEN: Sunday, May 24th, 10AM-6PM
WHERE: At Asteroid B-612 in Southampton, MA (address will be provided to registrants)
DESCRIPTION: We will spend the day writing in a lovely rural setting with indoor and outdoor spaces. There will be periods to set intentions, reflect, troubleshoot, and be in community. You are welcome to come with writing or revision projects you’re already working on, or to come with a blank slate and to take advantage of a range of optional prompts and ideas I’ll offer to get you started or re-started. There will be opportunity to chat in small groups, to check in with me, and to share pieces or pages with the full group at the end—all in the spirit of community, encouragement, and finding your path and your voice. All genres and levels welcome!
Limited to 12 participants.
BASIC SCHEDULE
Our day will go roughly as follows:
· 10AM-11:00AM: Gather, intros, and intention-setting
· 11:15AM-4:45PM: This is when we’ll write! I will also intersperse optional small-group check-ins with fellow students, opportunities to check in with me, and highly suggested but optional short breaks
· 5-6PM: Group sharing of a short piece or section and reflections for moving forward
Snacks and lunch (all vegan) and drinks will be provided through the day.

CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS, AND OTHER POLICIES:
Address will be provided upon registration. Handouts and other relevant info will be emailed to registrants by 5 days before the retreat.
CANCELLATIONS: Cancellations five days or more before the class begins will receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee. For cancellations after that, there can be no refunds, as time is needed to fill cancelled spots. For similar reasons, there can also be no full or partial refunds for students who come late, leave early, or do not arrive, or for students who are dissatisfied. In the rare case that I need to cancel, registered students will receive a full refund.
WEATHER: As the retreat takes place in a location where there are sometimes summer tropical storms or hurricane activity, if such weather is predicted I may use my discretion to reschedule for the safety of the group.
SAFE SPACE: I reserve the right to use my expertise and discretion to remove students from the retreat, without refund, who display behaviors and speech which are racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic, ableist, unkind, or otherwise disrespectful and non-compliant with class policies regarding safe spaces and discrimination.
By registering for this event, you are acknowledging that you fully understand and consent to these policies.
NOTE ABOUT SLIDING SCALE
For the sake of community solidarity, I make every effort to create a reasonable and honor system-based sliding scale system, while also needing to honor my own financial situation. Please use discretion in deciding what price you can afford, keeping in mind that the support price was designed for those who otherwise wouldn't be able to attend.
