IT'S POETRY TIME! AUTUMN GENERATIVE POETRY GROUP
WITH CAROLYN ZAIKOWSKI
8 MONDAYS, SEPT. 23RD-NOV. 11TH, 12-2PM ET
ONLINE VIA ZOOM
This group is for both beginner and established poets who are craving a low-stakes, supportive community space to just...be poets!
Each week, we'll spend time writing in class together, guided by versatile prompts to fit students' different needs. We'll explore interesting craft elements like free verse, formulas and constraints, methods like narrative and lyricism, and crossover modes like prose poetry. Finally, we'll do some informal sharing and offer positive, encouraging feedback in small and large groups. You can come to class with poems or ideas you’re already working on, too.
If you're an aspiring or experienced poet looking for guided writing time, gentle accountability from an instructor and fellow like-minded poets, support around writing/life balance, and the opportunity to create some new poems or work on old ones, then come join us!

CANCELLATIONS, REFUNDS, AND OTHER POLICIES:
Registration limit: 20 students
Zoom link and any related materials will be emailed to registrants by 2 days before the start of class.
Cancellations five days or more before the class begins will receive a full refund minus a $25 processing fee. For cancellations after that, there can be no refunds, as time is needed to fill cancelled spots. For similar reasons, there can also be no full or partial refunds for students who miss classes after the class has begun, or for students who have attended one or more classes but are dissatisfied with the class. In the rare case that I need to cancel a class, registered students will receive a full refund.
Please note: I reserve the right to use my expertise and discretion to remove students from class, without refund, who display behaviors and speech which are racist, sexist, transphobic, homophobic, ableist, or otherwise disrespectful and non-compliant with class policies (to be discussed on the first day of class) regarding safe spaces and discrimination.
By registering for this class, you are acknowledging that you fully understand and consent to these policies.
